Like most, really impressive for the first 20 minutes, way less so for the final 20 minutes

Best Liverpool player on the pitch Phillips is what he is not good and fast enough to keep Zaha under control he needs help.

I agree, but he looks the most likely to get things moving.

Any update why Phillips preferred to Gomez? Nat got totally done by Zaha, and I don’t think that happens to Joe.

How is subbing Nat and Fabs going to change that?

Why’s Virg slowed up and let zaha get the shot off. Obviously not at the same level but I was always told to affect the striker not stand off

Gomez has a knock.

Fuck’s sake.

2-1 is all we need. That really should be on.

And Vieira has them set up very well to be fair. This is a team able to genuinely compete.

And with his history, it’s probably best not to risk him. If he ain’t fit to start and all that.

Ridiculous really.

Every time we are on the edge of the penalty box, its a case of 1 player trying to beat 2-3 defenders. Not enough width? Lets face it: Mane is a massive loss. Its the loss of his experience and ability in the build up to the final ball that we are missing. So far this season, Diaz, plays an extremely deep game, collecting the ball a lot back at the half way line but isn’t too involved with our attacks and often is trying to take a defender on when he should be looking for the pass. I wonder if that lack of experience is hurting us there? . And Nunez will never be a main source of the final pass or heavily involved in the build-up play. I love him but he’ll never be a replacement for what Mane provided from wide forward (yeah no shit). Should have slipped it through to Harvey. Like Diaz, he needs to improve on his decision making which will come with experience.

Right now Salah is getting double-teamed as he’s really the only threat of driving it into the box (except for TAA’s excellent work from deep) when we are on the edge of the box. With Mane gone, Jota’s absence really hurts as he is the only other player besides Salah that can really join up the midfield with attacks into the penalty area.

Regardless of how this particular game pans out, I am seeing some worrying signs not with midfield, or defence, but with how our attack is operating. Maybe I am being a bit negative given Jota is out right now, and also maybe young Fabio could be a factor as well. But not feeling too optimistic with how our forward line is functioning.

Agree on both but Fab is an enigma for me because, I don’t see him being an excellent DM as he isn’t that great defensively, does have the odd great game though, and he doesn’t dictate play by being excellent in possession and being press resistant. I think our style needs a pacy DM. Just my thoughts on him and maybe many disagree.

Surely not? :scream: :scream: :scream: :scream:

He knows that i am not a native speaker, no need for that.
