Trent’s role as a FB requires him to defend very high up the pitch. When the team fails to contain a situation and the opposition plays out of it then it is a given Trent will then be a mile away. That’s just the nature of it. There is plenty wrong with his performances this season, namely not defending properly when he’s in position to do so, to not have to give him stick for not being in two places at the same time when the team as a whole gets played through.

You have to first understand his role and especially how we defend in the wide areas.
Without that people are just pointing at the easy target in a manner that is quite pointless
he has been good all season to be fair
