Unless we’ve got an agreement lined up for him to go somewhere and we can’t risk him actually getting injured by actually having to play football and put the whole deal at risk.
Naby needs to go back to Germany. We will obviously take a huge loss. It’s pointless offering him a new contract, but unfortunately if you pull the contract currently on the table, the air disruption would put him out of commission for the season. We could only hope for a BD swap as him offering a 10% discount on Jude.

If having to start old man Milner and young kid Elliott in a must-win game away at our biggest traditional rivals to get the season back in track isn’t a huge signal to sign midfielder(s) then I don’t know what is.

If he’s not being considered because of a possible move, anyone involved in such discussions will understand this to be a smokescreen and as such it will have no negative impact on those discussions.
It’s all a bit circular, and the only thing that is negative is if he is actually injured and that is forcing our hand in terms of the market.
