Milners been poor from start.
First 25 were as poor as I’ve seen in a long time. Last 20 were much better.

HT thoughts:
- ManU started with a lot of intensity (not very different from how we typically do) and then TAA gifted them the goal imo. Really Elanga should have scored and it would have been worse.
- TAA is out of position a lot. He almost is playing right midfield – not sure if its just his desire to get forward, or if Klopp wants him to play there, but its a back 3 not 4.
- TAA moving up so much is making Salah go further up and it makes him alone. Salah is not cutting into centre as much, so he only gets involved when the ball reaches the far right of the pitch.
- Diaz seems really close to making something happen, but doesn’t seem to have the right partner. Maybe Carvalho or Fabinho would be better to get something out of Diaz?
- Henderson and Miner good, but lack that cutting edge to create something out of nothing. Firmino unable to do anything on his own.
- I’m afraid 2nd half is going to a similar show, with us retaining possession, but running out of ideas in the final 3rd. Definitely a better attacking midfielder is needed.

Seeing Milner as the midfielder breaking into the box at a snails pace and losing the ball just shows the extent of our problems. Easy to defend, he’s just not got the legs.
