I wouldn’t take a 1-1, sorry. We need to be playing for the win here, the season will be tough enough as it is, let alone after dropping points in the first 3 games - all of which looked very winnable before the start of the season.

I kind of am, but more because of what I imagine is the cause of what Im seeing. I HATE the “they didnt want it” criticism that so many use as a default to explain away any loss, but today we do look a step off. Look at Trent on their goal. Not following the run is one thing, but he did nothing to recover. Had he done, even half arsed, he would have been able to put pressure on Sancho. He didnt react until way too late. For a side like us when you’re a step off nothing works. Why we are I have no idea, but there arent too many positive explanations for it that you can click your fingers and fix it.

It’s bizarre, we used to have Bobby coming central and Mane and Salah running in between the fullback and center half, with the fullbacks creating the overlap… Bobby would create the passing option, it would get wide to the fullback with Mane and Salah in the box.
Now we have Bobby still central but everyone else stood static on the touch line, the ball just goes nowhere slowly, then someone forces a pass to Diaz and Salah, they scoop it up and one pass and they are on the counter… it’s proper baffling.

I don’t recall the ball being in midfield for longer than 5 seconds at a time in that match

God, I turned the sound off ages ago. The sound of Tyler and Neville wanking each other off was unbearable after about ten minutes.

Andy is not really supporting Diaz and getting to the touchline. And he’s not in a defensive position when they nick the ball. He’s stuck between the two, which doesn’t help the attack of defence.
When Diaz is holding the ball, wish Andy would revert to his old self and make a run past him.

He does that regularly, what are the coaches telling him? He ball watches rather than following the run of his man from the initial lay off, gotta cover the give & go and he just isn’t aware of it and that should also come down to the coaches to tell him

The squad needed a revamp especially in the midfield area. Come this new season, we are playing the same football with the same tactics. Nothing has changed. In fact results suggest we’re getting worse.
Opposition has adapted to our tactics. Brighton and Brentford showed more tactical acumen when faced with manure.
We showed up at Old Toilet with our same stereotypical football.

Very disapointed with the performance so far. Looking awful in attack, struggling to break them down and create chances.
The defence is giving up very good chances for the opposition. Any through ball against us looks like the opposition are going to score
The way we are playing it’s hard to see us getting two goals in the second half.
