Good first half, weakness area is our LB. Tsima is very nervy with the ball and don’t really offer a whole lot going forward. Norwich is gonna up the pressure in the second half especially on our left side.
I second the idea of subbing AOC for Elliott, he’s not really offering a lot in the middle us we’ll.
Overall good half and now let’s get this over the line for the 3pts

Not spectacular but a good match so far - wonder if Norwich can keep up their pace - they had to spend a lot of running coins to keep it together in the first.
We’re not out of the woods yet - I didn’t like how relatively easy they outrun our high line at times - but no need to worry yet.

Am happy with that half. We are up against a team promoted and in front of their fans, so it wasn’t going to be easy. Given that we are a goal up and leading, I am okay taking that at HT. Let’s hope we get another goal and shut them out for good.
It’ll take time before we find our normal rhythm and cut down on some of those errors, but not an issue for now IMO

Milner getting his yellow card so early gives me the jitters. Sure, he got the passing range but his positioning is as good as a 23 year old Jordan Henderson which means one more mistimed tackle and it will be a red for milner.
I reckon Fabinho will be up sooner than we think…

Steady first half, one nil up. Norwich looked dangerous, on occasion, but you get the sense that there’s more to come from us if we go up the gears.
I would like to see Harvey introduced, just because I want to see what he can do!
AOC looks amazing on the ball. (Edit, I mean Trent!)
Second half, up it a little more, and we run out 3-0 winners. Hope so anyway!

I found this very acceptable. Far from amazing, we did not create that much, but it is good enough and we saw some good football. We seem to control Norwich rather well and did not give them many transitions were we were unbalanced. As for subs, around the 77th minute would be a nice time to swap a couple and give someone else some minutes, depending on our control.

VVD rusty at defending, but his quality passes are on full display.
Unlucky not to have gotten the second goal. Matip had a good chance. Want the midfield to string some passes together though at times.
Just a goal in it, so need to see this game out.
