The moment the Brazillian duo came in, the game has gone for Norwich. Thanks to Tite, our brazillian duo are sharp but not too fatigued!
The time off for Salah and Mane worked wonders! Salah is red hot today! Mane was good even if he didn’t get on the scoresheet, pressed the hell out of norwich’s defence.
Jota had a decent game but was kinda lost…
VVD back is a huge boost to us! His passes from the rear are exquisite!
Tsimkas had a mixed game. Good first 45 but faded badly later. I guess he needs more time.
AOC and Keita was strangely subdued with them not making runs into the box…

Tsimikas was a bit shaky but he showed real grit and determination. He had maybe lapses in concentration and judgement but you could see Virgil and Milner pulling him back into focus and reminding him how important the clean sheet is and how he needs to concentrate. And i like
Tsimikas going foward, i thought he did alot of good things. He just needs to chill.
Keita was ok… Ox also was ok… i wouldnt say they were impressive , but they did ok enough. I felt Ox had a real chance to cement his place here but he didnt take it. We will see in upcoming games.
Jota has been a godsend really. The club did well to buy him last season and we have needed that option to break open the game. He just pounces on opportunities and his finishing especially at a tense time in the game at the beginning was crucial for us.
The intro of Fabinho and Firmino just made the game safe, particularly Fabinho, once he came on and started winning the ball , i felt safe.
Mo Salah MOTM, dont even need to explain it. He was really unselfish today trying to get everyone involved, just overall, the guy is our talisman player next to Van Dijk.

Great first win, Salah bosses it all game long. The front three played with more decisiveness and more spark. It’s kinda like how they played 2 seasons ago, so much chemistry and no one is trying to hogged the ball. The midfield was doing its job in the first half, but was so much better when Fab and Bobby came on. Naby was good, happy to see him get back in. I think he’s gonna to be a very important player for us if he can stay off the treatment table. He has that X-Factor that can make the midfield very good.
The Def was good, mind you Norwich didn’t really threaten much. VVD is slowly getting back up to speed, and Mario I thought was excellent. TAA was fantastic down the right and Tsima got better in second half. He’s gonna be needed until robo gets back in.
What a save by Ali thought that was going in.
Overall nice to see Elliott get a run in and I think this win will be a good launching platform for our season.

Extremely happy with that. First game of the season and we look like we mean business. Definitely we have scope to improve and for sure we will, but 3 points, 3 goals, a clean sheet and playing good is as excellent start as one can expect.
Alisson was superb, Mo unstoppable. I thought Keita was good and hence was kept on. Elliot making debut was the highlight, this could be his breakthrough season. It was so exciting every time he had the ball. Tsimikas did what was expected of him, not too concerned. Onwards and upwards!
