Watching the cricket to calm the nerves. Lots of questions about the team today. How will Milly do at DM? How will Tsimikas do? Will Ox and Naby survive 90 mins? Will VVD be rusty?

Lol, nope, now ways I’m taking that chance.

Wow, that midfield. Glad we’re not playing an offensive powerhouse. How is Milner anchoring that midfield instead of Fab?

I am quite shocked by the midfield as well. Klopp must be seeing something in training.

I’ve just stuck £100 on us to win the league at 5/1 :+1: My one bet for the year :grinning::+1:

Gomez has played left and right back for us before

Hopefully you win your bet!

Fitness maybe.

Klopp obviously doesn’t think Fabinho is fit enough to start, there’s no mystery here. Neither is Thiago, Jones or Henderson. Not much else he could have picked.

It will be a very open game with that midfield. Just hope we can take our chances today.

Can’t pretend like the midfield isn’t scaring me a bit but that team should be more than good enough to comfortably beat Norwich. Don’t see many threats in their side and I imagine Gilmour is going to have his work cut out shielding what looks like a pretty mediocre back 4.

Bloody LeSaux commentating on NBCsn…I can’t stand the b*****d.

Listening to him is worse than chewing aluminium foil and scratching your nuts with a cheese grater.

That said…

All right lads…composure and focus are the keys to the match.

Goals from Salah, Mane, Jota and Milner works for me

If we can’t beat these with Keita, Ox and Millie we don’t deserve the league. With 5 subs I expect nearly all to be replaced. Feeling confident, don’t expect a lot from Virg hope he doesn’t make a mistake that’s all. Big game for Kostas and Diogo. Mane needs to start off with a good game.

Come on boys

5 subs?

Obviously he been drinking :joy:

I wouldn’t have expected VVD to start so early with Konaté showing much promise during pre-season. Hopefully it won’t back-fire. I’d hate to see him crumbling on the pitch and be out for a lenthy time again. Now I know that he’s included, this match will be an absolute torture for me… :grimacing:

Otherwise, I really expected to see Fabinho included. We’ll miss him in midfield. I absolutely love Milner, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him being withdrawn after the first half. Ox and Keita are sensible moves in midfield, Trent and Tsimikas are the obvious choices, and Jota upfront is also understandable. Bobby can come in at minute 60 and create some havoc.

Come on you reds, here’s to a good season beginning with three points! But please, take the opponents really seriously, otherwise, this will be another Brentford-Arsenal.

Problem is not now then when? VVD was injured what was a horrific tackle.

Gomez has gone down it seems from two training ground incidents
