We don’t look like we have a gameplan over the last few weeks. I just think unfortunately that emotional energy and passion that Jurgen can usually inject has just deserted him. He can see the finish line and hasn’t been able to motivate himself to go again one more time.

No knock on the man, he cares just as much today as he did at any point in his Liverpool career, but it seems that physically and mentally he just has run out of steam.

Yeah, that’s the crux of everything. He felt a year ago already that he was losing energy, and unfortunately, it didn’t last until the end. He now looks like @Limiescouse’s marathon runner.
