Or it could be that he’s earned his place with his performances in games and in training. I don’t think he has done anything massively special but he also hasn’t looked out of place either. I don’t think Klopp is the type to be playing someone and risking points just to wake another player up. Elliot is there because Klopp wants him there at this moment.

Yeah I really don’t understand why this sentiment keeps cropping up over and over again. It should be amply obvious by now that whoever’s in the team is there because based on what they’ve shown in training over the week, they are the ones most likely to get us the win, end of story. No politics, no crazy “mind games”, no alienation of players, nothing.

Did Hendo play for England in the week? I don’t think he was in the starting lineup, was he?
It looks a strong lineup from us. Just hoping that our left side is working better than against Chelsea. Robbo has had a fair few minutes for Scotland so he should be match fit if not rested.

This Elliot had better be good as Klopp’s confidence in him is messing with my predictions. 
Although I’d be curious to see Ox in the false 9 role at some point. They tried this in preseason and if he could shift the ball round like Bobby he has a fierce shot from the edge of the box.

Good strong line up. Glad to see Thiago back in the mix. There’s a CL game midweek as well and we will see lot of rotation from here on I think. Elliott should have more impact in this match I believe. Hoping to see him play his natural game with confidence.
The bench has a good mix of experience and players across the pitch. Jones returning a huge positive. Should be a great game from neutral’s perspective surely. Let’s get this done!

Is Klopp resting Henderson or has he injury? Fabinho is going to be very busy.
We might see Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago start on Wednesday or maybe he tries to rotate the three to give one of them a rest each game.
