Hendo’s switch to the left side of the three hasn’t really worked for me as of yet, pretty poor performance from him so far. Doesn’t look as easy for him to dictate the play as he can from the right.

I don’t think anyone is moaning about the penalty. I suppose it’s the red which is the discussion point.
Reece could have got away with the red, but he used his arm to school the ball away with Jota closing in

I think while Matip has qualities of his own as a top defender, VVD showed him exactly how to intimidate the hell out of Lukaku with that body weight shifting him off the ball just before the half ended.
No excuse not to win this now

Oh poor me Reece James! Dont give a shit. Thems the rules. Last season VVD got taken out for a season but it was offside so there was no punishment whatsoever. I dont feel sorry for him or Chelsea at all

We need to play with composure. Don’t go fishing the second- it will come with patience. Maybe 75 minutes still 1-1, then Thiago comes on to pass pass pass, and we get the second late.
Chelsea will keep two high for counter positions, so need to be switched on.

8-1 Salah and Mane hattrick and a rare goal from Henderson with Rudiger getting a 2nd yellow and Tuchel getting sent off and Lukaku getting punched in his face by Havertz when he is in a better position.
We have to be careful in the 2nd half. Referees have a habit of balancing these decisions up. Don’t give Taylor any reason to award Chelsea a penalty.

Our defense is backing off too quickly when they countered. Fabs needs to get in there so that the our midfield and wingbacks can come in and help.
We’re very good at times however didn’t look like scoring until we won a penalty. Firmino off i presume because despite playing well as a pivot is nowhere near getting on the end of anything.
They scored from a corner where Elliot and Robbo looked like they were sleeping, wake up (even if it was a well taken corner).
Matip looks nervous at times, not cool.
Let’s see if with an extra player we can make a real difference.
