Pre and In Match Thread. Porto vs Liverpool. ECL Group B. Tuesday 28th Sep 20:00 hrs

Klopp not taking any chances.

I am not sure how good we are right now, I found the draw against Brentford extremely alarming since our players were rested and we played the first team, and even so, Brentford truly deserved the point. But I think we will beat Porto. We always play a bit better in the Champions League than during a normal league game against mid table opposition.

Injured while wanking at redcafe. Has this become a thing?

Come to think of it: has anyone ever seen Trent and @PeachesEnRegalia in the same room?

Good fucking question.

As I suggested, zero changes (bar injury) to a team that shat the bed last game out. A Klopp tactic to get the players to make up for last games performance.

I don’t mind that. However, I’m a bit worried that the same XI might take field against City, meaning three games in eight days for the lot.

Ajax 2-0 over Besiktas so far (68 min). It is at home for Ajax, and Turkish teams are usually not that awesome away. Even so, I see this as yet another sign that Turkish football is down in quality compared to the best European nations these days. Their national team was the huge surprise in the Euro (surprisingly abysmal that is, as few expected them to be so little competitive) .

Edit: In another game a bit later on, PSG will face City. I find this difficult. I kind of want both teams to lose and PSG is just like City, owners just as bad. I wish it was possible for both to go out in the Group Stage.

Can I just ask…and I hope I don’t appear dizzy…but the team coach, does it,actually travel to all these away games, English and European…I only ask cause I’ve never seen it flying up and down the motorways…

I would imagine that it drives on the tarmac.

True, true…

But how does it get to matches!!!

Jurgen Klopp on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury:

“Unfortunately, he’s out for today and it doesn’t look great for the City game either.”

Gawd…that’s all we need…or is it mind games???

Dammit. 90 against Porto and City a tough ask for Millie at RB

This happening too often…does this mean he’s out of the internationals?
