Fair enough to make the argument about the latter but form I mean more than one or two games.
We didn’t play a midday fixture in that final 7 or so games when we were playing well.
It wasn’t a massive issue in Klopp’s seasons before (He always moaned about it but results were generally ok) so I would say it was just issues with the personal rather some inbuilt issue with midday kick offs.
Guess we will see tomorrow but also the factor last season was just a complete wash out doesn’t help anyhow blame BT/TNT they seem obsessed with doing this the week after internationals and there wasn’t really an excuse of Europa nights last season.
In the interview Klopp does say that the issue is the recovery time, not the kick-off time as such. I’d say the starting time is more of an issue for travelling fans.
Yeah, ring the changes here. Darwin definitely won’t start, doubt Mac or Diaz will either. Endo or Gravenberch to come in with Jota and Gakpo.
I think we’ll win this despite our record in these 12:30 games and our weakened side. The squad and manager seem to be in a good place at the moment, a good opportunity to build momentum again.
I think our biggest issue is Trent really two of the three SA who won’t play are attackers and we do have solutions for that and can probably come into the game later if needed.
McCallister would be my other concern, if any do start hopefully they managed correctly.
I use a LOT of tinfoil in one of my jobs. 15 rolls wouldn’t be sufficient to build the hat that’s required to claim the league is biased against us because if our early starts after international breaks. I do worry about some of you folks at times.
I’d be shocked if Klopp chooses to give Gravenberch his debut in a 12.30 away game, first back from an intl break when we have a no of injuries/suspensions.
He’ll be eased in, ideally with the strongest first team around him.
