We need a huge overhaul. A good lot of the team that finished the game should be nowhere near this club now.
Seen many successful teams in England over the years, but these guys I just do not like…

No big deal. Boxing day is what matters.
It’s over. We did our best and came up short. We showed great effort. We were not good enough, like we have not been good enough in many games this season. This was against a top opponent though and then you have very little leeway.
No shame losing 3-2 to city away when you show great effort like we did. We just need to find that elusive form and rythm. This loss isn’t just down to Nunez’s accuray or bizarre corner defending. If we had better rythm and form, I doubt that corner would have allowed them to be 3 man free.
This was okay really. Frustrating, but okay. We have played significantly worse this season and this was against a top opponent.

So no one has commented on how ill KDB looks…and he seems really pissed off with everyone…both ‘commentators’ have kissed his arse…but something doesnt look right…anyway…thats the shitty with extra games…yipppeee
He made that beutiful pass that resulting in our counter attack and goal. I didn’t think he did that badly myself (I have been defending him for years though), I was commenting more on overall general form this season, and overall, he hasn’t been good enough (I think). But I don’t view him to be a problem this game. This game, it was more that our general form and rythm is lacking and it shows.
I don’t think we need a huge overhaul but definately at least 3 players need replacing. Put someone like JB in that midfield and there’s a big difference already. Put Konate in that defence and it’s hunky dory.
Nunez contribution is far more than halland , yes he missed chances but so did halland
For the first goal nunez took 2 defenders and assisdted the 2nd . City has better midfield and nunez runs tirelessly to help while halland doesn’t do half the effort because he doesn’t have too in short yes he dhoud score more but his contribution is great its our weak midfield thst is letting ths defense down.

We weren’t good enough and although we conceded many chances, Nunez actually had enough chances to put them away. How many one-on-one chances did he have? Three or four?
At least a load of games less to deal with and that’s ok as we need to make top 4 in order to attract top players. That should be the priority

While I would love to defend Nunez, having followed Haaland for years, I have to note that he has a nasty tendency to require two centre backs to guard him, freeing a lot of space for his teams. While he is not the most prolific runner, his incredible positioning makes defending against him a hell, also since Haaland needs very little space to finish. So I don’t actually agree that Nunez frees up more space than Haaland.
I do agree that Nunez contibutes a lot in attack though and that his runs are often magnificent. I just don’t want to compare him to Haaland really.
When we beat Villa on Monday this will be well forgotten, retaining the cardboard cup not a priority for us top 4 is.
