Pre/In match: Chelsea v Liverpool (Sunday August 13, 16:30 BST)

Gone off the boil quite a bit. I don’t understand why our possession stats are so low vs that team.

It’s just a painful knock on the bone. Biggest issue is it coming right before half time giving it time to swell up over the break

It’s almost as if we’re playing him out of position.

Its expected given we are trying to play through them fast rather than control and hold the ball. Chelsea were also going to have strong periods in the game. Expect much the same second half.

Good to see jota running

Why is Jackson just standing in an offside position at every free kick? Have the rules changed or something?

Didn’t know about this 30second rule…for injuries

I know but that run from deep will be our undoing

He can be there and be onside for a second phase.

Had Salah stayed onside for that goas we would have been 3-0 t half time. We lost all momentum after that.

All about being involved in active play

Chelsea tend to be 1 of the top 2 for possession? It’s not like we’re playing Bournemouth at home.

Left side is an highway for them as their right side for us

They are using the ball very well. Finding angles our press is struggling to block off. Enzo is in his element. Still, for all the pressure I think we’ve had the better of the chances. Albeit more so in the first 30 mins than last 15

Regroup lads, you need to raise your game.

We were by far the better side the first 30. It looked like boys against men.

But they scored, and they’ve been better since.

Jota and Gakpo need to raise their game…If not, Nunez and Jones will take their place!

Chelsea look to have had a productive pre-season. Look very dangerous and creative. I thought our CB’s both had an immense half or we might be down two goals.

Oh that old chestnut again…fits for some teams and not for others. .

It’s a common trick. It means that he technically wont have a marker once the ball is put in play. Teams have been doing it for 15 years - I remember RVN seemed to the first to make a point of doing it.
