Pre Match - Arsenal V Liverpool FC (A) | 08/01/2026 - 20:00 | PL - MD 21

Just stink the place out and get a dull draw.Bring down Arsenal to our level.

I love it when people talk dirty on TAN.

See above.

I always assume everyone here is above 18 and male, except for maria and one other person (I always forget who).

The old adage of …one should never assume…eh!..

We are totally incapable of going anywhere and grinding out a dull draw. Totally incapable of absorbing more than about 5 minutes pressure without conceding.
However we are more than capable of stinking the place out.

Play 5 at the back and 5 in midfield and dont let them cross the half way line, a draw to them will feel like a defeat and a draw to slop will feel a massive victory.

Seriously though i think its only a matter of how many they will score.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m sure that will motivate the lads.

Do you think the lad in your avatar would have ever gone into a game with that attitude?

Yeah but slot is our manager now. :joy:

I can’t help but think that a lot of you are going to sit in front of your TVs on Thursday night actively hoping we get pumped.

I’m actually quite confident that our lads will pull off a good performance this time. :slightly_smiling_face:

I think that’s a bit unfair.
Lot of supporters have lost faith in Arne Slot, but it doesn’t stop them being supporters.
I’m still on the fence regarding him, the title win buys time and respect in my view.
But performances need to improve, and soon.

I am afraid we will get a beating here, its all a bit shit and pedestrian and Arsenal are on form.
Obviously I hope we put their champagne on hold, if only to gain another three points towards fourth spot.

I’ll take draws against Burnley and Bournemouth if we beat Arsenal for the second time this season. That’s how much I hate Arsenal under Arteta.

We’ve been through times with shit form before in the past but usually we showed up in big games. Hope we still have that in us.

That’s what I think. We were expecting to get twatted by Real Madrid and Inter. They were our best performances of the season.

We have a tendency to raise our game and lower it accordingly.

Anyway, we’ll go into this as underdogs but I don’t care. I’ll be positive and hope for the best.

Oh fucking hell! We’ve turned into Everton.

It’s a good point that even though we are having a poor season, we have shown an ability to turn up in big games. That’s why I think we might get a result at Arsenal, and it’s also why I wouldn’t completely rule out a decent challenge for the Champions League.

Arsenal are huge favorites for this one, so it won’t be a surprise if they win well, but I’m quietly hoping for something quite different.
