Pre Match | Aston Villa vs. Liverpool | FA Cup Third Round | Friday January 8th 19:45h GMT | Villa Park

Fair enough. Bot both of them are very sub par and hardly good enough for a Top 6 team in the Premier League. I accept that they have to play though, and I would never blame them for defeat. We have senior players who really should carry this team, particularly against such an opponent.

The whole side should be ashamed. Listening to a United fan in my house. I can’t even defend us tonight. Feel like mugs

Remember Ollie Burke doing Fabinho a couple of times.

Liverpool. Walking football champions of England.

They both run like they have diving boots on.

As you said though the fault for that goal is Hendo being a fucking fanny in the midfield and being bullied off a 50/50 ball by a kid.

All heart and fight has gone, heads have gone all over.

Williams is no slower than Matip only difference Matip makes up for it with experience.

HT 1-1:

No quality, no confidence, no pace, no willingness to fight for the ball or run for the team. Mediocrity all over the pitch.

So, what will the result be if nothing changes in terms of performance during the second half time? We will be out of the FA cup, and the laughing stock of the country for the rest of the season.

Can you blame them though? We have a midfield that does 0 with the ball, why do they camp on the flanks and just move the ball so slow.

Henderson needs to stop with this cross dink thing he does, its so predictable and pointless

I’m not piling on but it really makes The Boss’s words ring hollow about “fighting with what we have against the world”. Very little fight in these boys right now.

teams have finally got the memo on how to play us
jus let us have all the possession and keep us on the outside. we have no thrust in the middle to open up anybody
our possession usually ends with a hendo dink/cross which has become easy to defend or a TAA/robbo cross which have also become predictable
the hope is thiago will force teams to be more honest, but this requires good movement from the front three. this is were we miss jota

Neither Phillips or Williams are good enough.

I am concerned with our patterns of play we need to work on something different than just working the ball wide and putting hopeful crosses in, we need more options to break down teams.

if we play like this against the scum, we can say good bye to the title, as City are already back in the groove.

Kicking to the Kop end in the second half. Will score 4.

As I said mate, neither good enough. If this was Villas 1st team Henderson would be in beside Fabinho and Thiago would have started I reckon. That’s far from ideal either. Biscuits Matip will be back in a week for a week though so we don’t need to do anything

Getting out this slump now is the greatest challenge Klopp has had here.

word for word, exactly this!

Horrible to watch. So lackadaisical, this team, and bereft of ideas. Players are getting in each other’s way, and look harried when AV U23s are pressing; a bit embarrassing. As others have mentioned the Reds just don’t look interested.
