Gomez - and I’m not saying he’s had a great half - is more often than not left defending that whole side of the pitch himself, and that’s also the channel that the opposition attacks.
The reason why any defensive mistakes always seem to be Gomez is because that’s where all the fucking attacks go, and if the midfield wasn’t so bloody passive and prone to giving the ball away with out full back marooned you the pitch we wouldn’t be so frequently left with Gomez trying to do his best with overload after overload down the right hand side

Honestly that is just a baseless criticsm. There was one time Gomez made the decision to try to hold the line and got it wrong, and that was the one Adrian saved at the near post. The ball getting in behind him is not the same thing as him “fucking up the offside”.

With all the soft penalties this weekend, VAR takes one second to completely dismiss it.
Adrian - even in his good games, then some mess-up. BUt that was plain stupid. Controlled the ball, then lazy pass into no where in the box.

I know this is cliche, but just give an honest effort this second half. The result I do believe is ordained, just give a good effort.
