It’s reasonable to feel aggrieved over a rule change that produces outcomes that just feel wrong, as we get with these technical offsides that do not pass the test of the naked eye.
It is also not true that we can be as declarative as that. This system does not have the precision to accurately make calls as close as that. That compounds the unfairness the decisions elicits.
