I would rather he gets called up by Italy and gets game time, as he will need rhythm. Something he couldn’t catch in all of last season.
Don’t trust the international coaches. They are notorious for running players to the ground.
I sort of don’t mind, he needs fitness. I doubt he was going to play, seeing at through he will only make his way back to Liverpool today. It’s sort of gone under the radar a bit, and is a boon that we no longer have Diaz and Darwin to worry about in these travel dilemmas.
Will isak see some minutes?
FPL time.
Atletico at Anfield is next after this one.
Ah right…
I just played my wildcard and made changes to my fantasy team. Naturally I signed Isak and put him in my team for the Burnley game.
I was inspired by @gasband, who reckons Isak will score 4 in a last 15 minute run out.
That’s good enough for me ![]()
I think it will be 20m, 20m, then 50% chance he will start vs Everton, which means there is 50% chance I get it wrong.
Looks like most of the guys have the day off, probably back tomorrow.
His mum and a pudding bowl?
I can just imagine this glaswegian accent…
All things considered this is a bit surprising.
Liverpool have lost just two of their last 28 Premier League games that have come immediately after an international break (21 wins, five draws).
In fairness, we haven’t lost that many league games.
I thought we were one of the worst sides ever to grace the PL and FSG are a bunch of scrooges who spend all their money on cigars and yachts.
That’s what I read here anyhow.
Yep, last 3 games we have looked like a pub team.
That figure of 2 out of 28 equates to 3 games lost over a season. It doesn’t take account of draws in games we would have expected to win. It also doesn’t take account of dead rubbers, which will typically happen at the end of a season.
So, does anyone know anything about Burnley? Are they cloggers? Are they well organised and difficult to break down? Are they surprisingly attacking? Are they plucky underdogs? Are they this season’s Nottingham Forest?
Well one of the 5 was against Man City as I remember, I don’t think many would be dead rubbers regarding international breaks.
