Pre Match. Burnley vs Liverpool. Wednesday 19th May. PL

First and foremost our focus from the first second should be to play (much) better than at WBA. Especially that first part of the game. IF we get to a point after the hour mark where we have a few goals advantage, maybe we can try and attack a bit more. But first focus on basics, playing better and securing the win.

If we have a few goals advantage I’d rather we see it out, not sure what we expect Leicester to do but say we are 2-0 or 3-0 up I’d take that. Wouldn’t want us to press for more.

Only way I’d want to see more is if say they were down to ten men or something.

last time we just couldn’t score because Pope decided to play a blinder against us. Most goalies do up their game playing us, it’s insane how often that seems to happen.
He didn’t play in the 0-4 loss last time Burnley played. Unsurprisingly, I hope Pope doesn’t play today.

He also played in the 3-0 loss for them last season against us, if I remember the Burnley game it was the first time we had shots on target but everything was near post and 27 attempts on goal and 6 which as I said were all near post is depressingly bad.

Then again for some reason we started with Origi and the Ox upfront.

Only thing is if we don’t turn up we won’t win, that’s true

If we win then our goal difference will be a minimum of +2 on Leicester, who are away at Tottenham on the final day.

So if we were to win 1-0 tonight and then again on Sunday they would need to beat Spurs 3-0. They do have the tie-break on goals scored currently (66 vs 63).

It would be a pretty unfortunate and unlikely scenario for us to win both these games and still not get in the top 4.

If we were to win both of these games and happened to do something like beat Palace 4-0, for example, it would take a near impossible scoreline at White Hart Lane to worry us.

Just seen that Eze of Palace (one of their best players) has an Achilles problem and has been ruled out for the season. Thatll be handy if we win tonight.

Think I would start with jus Alisson and keep Adrian and kelleher in reserve in case we need to change game 2nd half. In all seriousness jus get the win by any means tonight red men. :fire::fire::fire:

But Alisson is selfish and doesn’t pass to Adrian. Doomed!

Just imagine Alissons magical header pushes Liverpool on to make Top 4. And we go on to win the 21/22 Champions league Crown.

Just need 2 more wins

Absolute rubbish. :rage:. Kelleher played with U23, so he can’t possibly play tonight.

Candidate for post of the season right here…

Has anyone observed the Alisson and Adrian body language?

His body language seems to be screaming ā€œget the ball the fuck away from meā€, in Spanish obviously.
