Pre Match Chelsea vs Liverpool, Sunday 2nd Jan 2022 (!) - Premier League

hahahaah, was about to say.

It’s given me a headache…all this shouting…

We’ve had three or four other decent chances. There was one where Mo was a fraction offside. Another that Mane should have squared earlier.

There are definitely goals for us.

Not the Americans I met and spent time with.

By the way, we could have really done without that lengthy VAR check on the Kovacic goal. It was obviously fine, but it gives them and the home fans two lifts in quick succession.

Yes have no choice really. We’re not winning the 2nd half with that midfield. Keita maybe gives us a chance

if we not signing any player in january, i would take gini on loan to jus balance that midfield

We seem to have lost the ability to change gears to suit what is happening. Sometimes, just needs a few passes around the back and keep the ball for a bit. Or drop into positions for a bit. But yes, we’re kinda stuck in that hear gear mode.

John Motson said it years ago, “it’s not always a good thing to go 2-0 up”
How right he was.

we dont have a midfield on the pitch capable of keeping the ball

Mo had a chance to make it 3 nil…and it would have been over instead our defence and a worldie make us capitulate.
Hope the boys are fired up as Chelsea defence is worse than ours…hoping for a 2 nil pool second half. COYR…

Yes, I agree. However, the worrying part is that there are lots of goals there for Chelsea too. Who wins this is a throw of the dice almost. I am glad the break was there when it was, because the first goal gave Chelsea energy and made us even more frantic than earlier. Let us see what happens after the 15 min break.

Can someone gag, shoot or bin neville off…he’s getting on my nerves really bad today…

I don’t think they will be worse, if we stick with the same midfield it’s game over.

has neville zipped up yet or is he still holding it

If only we have a consistently fit LCM, we wouldn’t be in this shit…

Gini is boring but he is technically good in shielding the ball.

Thiago is a big upgrade on Gini but lacks a crucial thing called Fitness.

The rest of our MFs ? Milner has the experience but perhaps Father Time has caught up with him. Keita is unpredictable in consistency and fitness. Hendo has regressed as well. The rest are too green.

One hopeful thing. Recently, Chelsea have been about as good at keeping the ball out of their own net as that other team in blue.

exactly, no better player at holding onto the ball like gini

I have shut the sound off, it’s much better to watch it that way. Those fucking numpties have nothing interesting to say anyway.

It also allows you to see the game for what it is without these idiots interfering all the time.
