They could still use it as a training ground etc etc i guess. Hate to see an iconic stadium go down
Unlikely that would work due to maintenance costs alone. Its not owned by the clubs either. Itll end up becoming part of the surrounding infrastructure expect…fan zones etc.
Looking forward to this! Fingers crossed for a double barrelled, intense performance and blow these guys away.
After city ending the tie last night and therefore able to basically field a reserve side in their home fixture, we really need to try and put this tie to bed tonight if possible.
It will be like playing an extra game otherwise, as well as the rearranged fixtures we already have the the final v Chelsea.
Come on reds!
Agree. But if it comes to the difference being 100m and a larger development time frame between the new stadium and renovating sansiro , id wish they choose to renovate sansiro.
Not overly enthused with teams shifting to new stadiums especially when the existing stadium means so much for the supporters and football in general.
One of the best things FSG could have done is to make a decision to stick to anfield
Shiny new toys syndrome
City won’t be fielding a reserve team in the second leg. They have a big squad of players and can rotate. So do we, by the way.
No need to get panicky if we don’t match City’s result. That’s not a necessity.
Exactly, it is not a contest who wins the most easily, getting true is all that matters.
It must be very odd for two huge clubs sharing the same stadium especially for derby games. I remember in the 70s or maybe 80s, there was speculation about a shared super stadium in Stanley Park…
Given the bench strength and the competition for places, the trumpets starting to tune up for the finale to the season and Klopp like some kind of ethereal orchestral conductor with a rod of iron and a smile of quicksilver, I can see us really starting to click from here on in. Could be a glorious night for our fabulous men in red!
Just read a bunch of bullshit from “pundits.”
Fabio Capello says we are terrible at defending and Alisson is the only reason we are winning. Our defending is terrible according to the failed England manager.
Di Canio says that Ali is a howler waiting to happen.
Does anyone know where we can donate to their medical bills after being diagnosed with blindness? Seriously the only way these takes make any sense
Fabio Capello, massive reputation, massive salary, crap in England. Off yer pop bitter man.
Di Canio, quirky, angry, crazy, had a soft spot for him for that volley and also the penalty gentleman stuff… but then oh dear, turned out he was a fascist who liked a good Nazi salute. Nope.
Italians talking up their chances by downplaying ours.
The truth is Inter are a good side. Not the best we could have faced, but much stronger than the free hit Man City were given. If we are anywhere close to our best, we will win both home and away. But I expect them to pack the midfield, stifle our play, waste time, fall over at will, ask for yellow cards. We have to be prepared for all that crap. If the ref lets them do it too much, it could be a very frustrating evening, especially as they also have some quality that might hurt us from time to time.
Ideally an early goal from us, and a resolute display, so as they come looking we add a second and come out of there with a good 2-0 away win.
My question is have you watched them play?
on and off. I’ve seen them more last season and from what i’ve seen this season , the tactics haven’t changed that much
Just to keep you all amused while we wait until kick off…
Too late for me o become a footballer?
