Pre Match | Everton vs. Liverpool | PL Matchday 5 | Saturday October 17th 12:30h | Goodison Park

The ball was shaping away from Pickford, and was going perfectly in VvD’s path. It was an uncontrolled lunge to a blal that was never going to be in his path. Endangerment to a player. Straight red.

We need to win this guys… Can’t afford to miss points… All our front 3 looks sharp… We could have been 3-1 had we taken half chances… Our defence makes me nervous… Hope it doesn’t affect other players… Hendo/Fab/Thiago are bossing the midfield… If only Van Dyk wasn’t injured I would have loved this Derby…

Everybody is doing their job well so far…but to concede one to the bitters where our GK just do not have the confidence to come for the ball is just slightly disappointing…

We have to put away those chances; Mane, Salah, TAA

Hendo, wow! Outstanding energy and desire he has been everywhere.

Can’t wait to see the back of Adrian he is a huge liability. I really don’t think we should continue with him as our back up longer than January.
The tackle on VVD was terrible; hopefully he is okay. Gomes and Matip have both done fine thus far.

Jota on for bobby. Mane and Salah have been wasteful (albeit at least Mane got one) but Firmino has really not been involved enough and we really need to score another couple (or more) and use our dominance to put this game to bed. I can see another goal at least in Adrian unfortunately

Started off really well. They got into the game once VVD went off. Gomez missing the sharpness, couple of occasions looking off pace and concentration.

And Adrian should definitely saved that. If as a keeper you aren’t saving shots hit directly at you, there’s a problem. It’s a matter of confidence, and for a keeper once it’s down every mistake keeps compounding that.

The attack needs a bit more from the right, we are getting the maximum joy from our left. Also due to the fact that Jamez is pathetic tracking back. Jota may get a lot of joy in this game and we will surely see him in action, given his form.

We’ll start off well I presume and get this in bag, performance has been good, need to be bit more clinical and focused.

We’ve played well and should be two up, but the Van Dijk injury hasn’t really shaken the team. Klopp will shake it out of them.

The Pickford challenge is a clear red, the dirty cunt, but the BT commentary suggested that as it was offside, no action could be taken?

think that would change everything, Mane to right, Mo up front etc. Not sure if thats a good idea really but i cant say until ive seen it running

Everton’s aerial strength is scary with DCL and Keane able to reach stratospheric heights during set pieces. A bit nervous without Virgil manning our defence.
Thiago’s first time volley was sweet though.

bit bemused how Pickford is still on the pitch to be honest. Reckless and dangerous spring instantly to mind.

how the fuck was that offside before the Pickford attack???
The VAR lines confirm onside and they still give offside? It’s only because it would be a pen and a red card… Pickford no where near the ball and it’s a blatant attack on Virgil

A lot? I missed some of them probably. That one on Virg was emough
The VAR team obviously think he’s infallible though.

I’m off to work. Enjoy the rest of the match and your weekend. Will be following along online. I certainly won’t burn any of my paid time off to watch when Adrian is in goal.

That Pickford challenge is a red all day everyday regardless of the offside coming first.

The high line cost us the goal again but since that we have pushed up and then dropped back not looking to play the offside as high

The bitters lucky to be level at half time, I thought some of you said they had a great midfield.

Ever since we dropped slightly further back, we are bossing their attacks and their midfield…

The heat map of our mid 3 would be interesting. Hendo pretty wide on right, but Thiago a bit inwards. Sort of surprising given how forward Robbo is, but we are good both attacking and defending wise from that side.

How is that offside and how did he stay on

Half time analysis from former ref Dermot Gallagher: violent conduct in a tackle is subjective whether should be red card. ‘Couldn’t have complained if it was a red card’.
