But the comment its self was fine thats why im struggling with the reaction.
We need to control the midfield and feed the forwards.
We have actually put some good phases of play and progressed through their lines but lack a final ball, looked the best when we have got the ball to Wirtz’s feet.
We were in the ascendency until they started diving and the ref fell for it, with a stop start last 15 mins of that half.
Saying that we are shitnat that defending lark atm, the gaps are too wide between our 4 defenders.
We look lost. Bereft of ideas and confidence. There’s almost a sense from some of our players that they’re put out by teams just not rolling over for us.
No tempo, no press, no hunger. It’s all just so slow and passive.
We haven’t replaced what Trent gave us on attack that moment of absolute brilliance he could produce.

But he is responsible for constantly getting in the way. He also has a very tenuous grasp of the rules.
Still not as much of a Backpfeifengesicht as Oliver, though.
Yeh, but apart from all that, we’ve been great.
Wirtz is obviously a quality player, but seems like we’re caught between being the team we were last year or being a new team built around him

Hes open a lot but we dont give him the ball enough
The midfield seems to be the key reason we look disjointed. Wirtz is the key change there. He’s really working his socks off but he’s on different wavelength than everyone else. There is a quality player there surely but it’ll take time for us to adjust to his play. That and our experiments in RB position and MacAllister being out of form has really further degraded our performance.

He only had 4 assists last year, but we still miss his passing to change the direction and focal point of play
Mourinho was right about the shit quality of refereeing in the Turkish Super Lig. However, this is a UEFA ref from France. Maybe the home fans are just that intimidating?
