I’d actually take the opposite view. Manage minutes with the Chelsea game in mind, but essentially go with the lineup that you want to work for that. If we constantly chop and change, the team will never gel.

I’m more interested in seeing our reaction than the actual result. A good performance will mark the Palace game as a blip. If, on the other hand, there’s another problematic showing, there will be full-blown talk of a crisis.

We improved once Gakpo came on against Palace. If anyone needs a spell on the bench it’s Mo. Just a short spell, mind. Just a couple of games to make him understand that he’s not untouchable (in the Eliot Ness sense of the word).
