I think Mo should have gone to Milan. Maybe played 44 minutes. Maybe Arne and Mo could have reached some compromise. Arne: “Mo don’t keep going to the press”. Mo: “ok, but let me play some minutes, I am not the only player who is not playing well in this team”
That’s what he, Slot, should have done in the first place. Start and sub off or bench and sub on. See if the change made any difference before just out right benching Mo. It’s very poor management imo unless Mo is injured. Even if he needed rest just some rotation would do. But no it’s in or out, that’s no way to go about these things.
I agree Flobs. I don’t think Arne explained to Mo properly why he was benching him outright. I am just wondering, if there can be some mediator between Arne and Mo to reach a compromise.
However, if Mo does leave eventually, Mo gets a decent send off and say goodbye to the fans at Anfield.
I was reading on Egypytian social media (i know i shouldn’t believe it), the fans are angry, one fan has said may the pharoah gods of temple curse our club every time Mo isn’t playing in the team!
)
We need to put this ornament in every section at Anfield and AxA training complex to protect our club.

Disagree. I thought it was good management to give him bench time given form. Like any bench player he then comes on depending on the circumstances.
We will never know the exact communication and words between the two and how that message was delivered. But that won’t stop the speculation.
And to axe him from Milan. A no brainer. Well done. I wouldn’t play him v Brighton as well.
Slot was damned either way. He would be classed as soft if Mo plays this game. I’m sure a certain ex Manure manager and dare I say it Klopp would have done the same.
Jürgen’s man management, empathy and emotional reading of his players and handling them was much better than Arne’s.
Pitch side absolutely no question.
Behind closed doors? Who knows. But probably.
I agree with this.
I have made my opinion clear on the handling of Mo. There is nothing else to add from me. Above all it’s not the subject of this thread and detailing it further is pointless. If I wanted to get into tit for tat I would have posted in one of the many other threads discussing this. It’s just an opinion anyway which I made clear.
Sadly it’s getting ugly behind the scene and now pouring out into the papers. No one wins in this type of situation.
.
If it does become the end of Mo, what a tragic demise.

Special centre-back could make Champions League debut for Liverpool
Story by Bence Bocsak
"It means that the Reds have named a small squad. Only 19 players will be travelling to Milan and three of them are merely kids.
Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha could be in line for action.
But the most intriguing inclusion has been that of Wellity Lucky. The 19-year-old defender already made his debut for the Reds in the League Cup this season, and he is very highly regarded."
Bence Bocsák has written for The Guardian, Goal, World Soccer and the Daily Mirror. He has been cited in The Times and appeared as a guest on talkSPORT and the BBC. …
Talk about creating stories from anywhere, in the days where you have meat about Liverpool all you want (from media perspective)…
Does anyone really think Lucky will play tonight?
He deserves to just because of his name.
You’re right about scratching for tidbits to make a story…
However, posting it in the pre-game thread, well away from the shitstorm erupting in other threads today, I saw it as a chance to look at something more upbeat and optimistic about tonight’s game…
A sort of glass half full philosophy, as opposed to the glass half empty. Not sure why you feel the need to snipe at anyone, or anything, when they are attempting to lift some of the present day gloom surrounding the club.
Not sure if you struggle to relay your feelings through the written words in English or not, but to me anyway, they just come out as spoiling for an argument when non is needed. Some like to see light at the end of the tunnel, obviously, you prefer to order more tunnel…
Nah, it’s good because I’m interested in these smaller stories. Who travelled, who is who, etc.
But from a journalist point of view, I’m not sure he knows enough about Lucky to call him a special talent. It’s more a sea of those articles to fill an empty space, which there isn’t a lack of these days.
I’m sure we are all interested in the small snippets of news if they are genuine and connect to LFC. It is how we build up our knowledge of facts and factoids.
Whether he has enough background to offer a personal opinion on the young guy… who knows eh… maybe he is just quoting from the dozens and dozens of opinions offered by seasoned professionals who have first-hand knowledge of him…
Like I said, we are all capable of filtering fact, or not, in anything we read… and we are capable of being suspicious of anything that stinks of bullshit… In this instance… when a guy of 19yrs of age is called up to a European tie away in Italy, for LFC, surely it has to prod the interest of any dedicated reds fan to google or search for further information.
That’s all true, but his loyalty towards his players could also sometimes be a blind spot.
I love how it shortens to Well Lucky.
Yup, we held onto Hendo and Fab for too long. But nobody is perfect. We might be seeing the opposite here can be equally bad. Such as letting go of Diaz.
A headline writer’s dream! Say we win 0-1 but Inter push us hard: “Liverpool scrape through by sheer Luck”
Give us a win. COYR YNWA

Or..or…re-purpose that Pharrell song for a headline:
