There are some positives, but still bitty and at any moment if Leeds scored none of us could have been surprised.

He’s been awful. Though tbf he does often pop up with a goal or assist when he is playing poorly

We just don’t look aggressive enough, Our positional play off the ball is too cautious and we are just not quick enough on our passing.
Leeds are not really in it either but with our luck they will snatch a lucky goal from one of our errors….

If Slot really doesn’t fancy bringing on Chiesa for Gakpo, maybe Isak, and move Ekitike to the wing.
I don’t want to see Wirtz shuffled out to the left because we need to get Szoboszlai near Salah.

Baby steps and all that. Haven’t conceded. BUt struggled again to get a goal. Curtis with a good shot off the crossbar.
Dom started a good move by tracking back, then hit a long ball to find Cody in space for a run at goal. With both Leeds fullbacks on yellow, the wide players should be looking forward to one on ones against them.
Leeds looking to launch it long, and we keep accommodating this by giving cheap fouls on the half way line, as exemplified by Bradley picking up a yellow close to the end of the half.

I’d play Gakpo on the right wing just so he can learn a new move

I would play him in the U23.
He’s the most involved too. Maybe he could do that as a CF too.

I hardly have an agenda against him, but it’s really remarkable when the sentiment is all trending in the same direction. This is how I used to feel about Lovren/Moreno/Mignolet/Skrtel in terms of stinking the place out every week for stretches at a time yet still playing.
We don’t need to revisit Gakpo as a CF, been there…done that…he sucked at it…maybe he’s just not very good at this football thing?
We’ve spent 180m on CFs.
