Pre-match: Leeds v Liverpool, Monday 17th April, 20:00

Fingers crossed for another committed showing. Can’t see the Gomez at Rb and Trent in midfield thing a few have called for. The point of moving Trent inside is to create an overload, doesn’t happen if that’s his starting position. Although Gomez could be better suited than Konate to the RCB role with the need to shift into a back three.

TAA—Konate–VVD----Robbo
—Hendo—Thiago—Jones----
—Salah----Nunez----Diaz------

-----Konate–VVG----Robbo----
---------TAA----Thiago----------
--------Hendo—Jones-----------
—Salah----Nunez----Diaz------

Something like that anyway…

Trent will likely carry on his inverted full back role from Arsenal. It was his best performance of the season with the ball, surely we will just do the same again.

Performances and consistency for the remaining games with an eye on carrying good form into the summer and next season, with team selection reflecting how we hope to set up next season.

Can’t wait to see Diaz back in action…

Would like to see Jones starting if he’s available. He’s tidy on the ball and doesn’t give possession away cheaply.

Still believe (hope?) he has a future here. Always felt he was more a continental than English midfielder and would be appreciated more if he was playing abroad. Of course he still needs to improve certain elements of his game but every top player works on weaknesses until they retire.

Who is our most progressive midfield passer?

Agreed, that’s kinda what I tried to convey. Will be interesting to see if it sticks, obviously Man City have been doing it for a while so we’re a bit late to the party, but if it works, it works. Klopp has been trying to move Trent more centrally for a while, hopefully we now have a blue print of how to do this without destabilising the team defensively too much.

You tell me as it hasn’t any relevance to what I wrote!

Liverpool haven’t scored away to any of the bottom 10 clubs.

:x: vs 11th Chelsea
:x: vs 12th Crystal Palace
:x: vs 13th Wolves
:x: vs 14th Bournemouth
:x: vs 17th Everton

About time to score a few.

Jokes on
Chelsea on Wednesday
United on Thursday
Spurs and Chelsea (again) on Saturday
Arsenal yesterday.

Guess it will be on us tonight.

I have seen enough jokes for one weekend, let’s see a proper win.

I think we will batter these tonight 4 or 5-0… Think Jurgen has had enough of our piss-poor performances, and the penny may have finally dropped with some players, that they are playing to still be at LFC next season

1 AM kick-off :sob:

Really want us to get 3 points, with Spurs and Chelsea dropping points as well.

I will miss the first 20-25 minutes of the match.:persevere: Leeds are also in a difficult position, they need to move away from the bottom. They will put up a good fight.

Newsandcastle also.:grinning:

Jones starts, with Thiago fit…

“but he’s only in the squad for his homegrown status mum”

Unbelievable, Nunez, Thiago and Diaz on the bench and Jota/Gakpo the both could not score in a brothel starting …
