Pre Match - Leicester v Liverpool - 20th April 2025 (Away) - 4.30pm - PL Match Day 33

That is still not a mathematical certainty. For all intents and purposes though, you are right.

Unless you’re envisioning that if we lose we only lose each game by 1 goal, it’s really not a hard goal difference to overturn over 6 games.

I do acknowledge Slot has room for improvement. Who doesn’t? And ofcourse no manager can be judged based on one season. But as it stands, he has delivered. Period.

Taking a top team and ensuring it wins the league title is not something every manager is capable of doing. Klopp’s teams are known for being more than the sum of the parts, and making such a team to perform and be so clear at the top isn’t easy.

And we were top of the CL league table as well, which in itself says something. Yes, we might need to perform better in cups next season, and Slot will learn based on whatever we have observed till now.

We didn’t come up against a state backed cheat of a club who pushes teams to be near perfect. We are thus allowed to be normal, have dip in performances like any other normal team does. And by looks of it, if we need to dig in and win, we do.

The club is in such a good shape with so much positivity. I would not trade our position with anyone. If it’s really going to get fcked up later I would rather enjoy this title than worrying about future. That can be for another day. But I don’t think that’s even going to be the case.

Absolutely pumped up as we march towards another title. I remain a believer!

I suspect that Arsenal will already be conserving energy in the league games to concentrate on the CL.

This Leicester game should be three points for us and we have no other distractions. The worry is players thinking it is already in the bag.

I remember one season in the 80s, it may have been Paisley’s last, where we won the league with games to spare and they lost every fixture afterwards. I felt rather short changed at the time.

They’ll beat Ipswich easily. But expecting them to win all of their last 6 games when they haven’t put together a winning run all season is rather far-fetched. They’ve got 12 draws and 17 wins I believe.

This is their upcoming fixture list

They’re losing points in the league for sure.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they play the reserves against Bournemouth.

It would be quite surreal if they were to beat PSG and then give us a guard of honour on the next game.

They’ll be playing the reserves against crystal palace too.

The CL is the cross by which Arteta will rest his case.

He’s got to get to the finals atleast to get something out of this season. And to get more transfer money too.

Would be even better if they lose to PSG and then come out to give us a guard of honour.

Just like they beat West Ham, Everton and Brentford easily?

Or even better, get eliminated by PSG and then give us a guard of honour.

It says Leicester and Liverpool in the title of this thread and we are rambling about PSG, Arsenal and any other meaningless rubbish that passes by in the gutter.
What a great forum!

This is the second thread I’ve come in in the space of five minutes and found you goading another poster.

Time for a break?

They beat Ipswich 1 nil at home.

You have to admit though the scenes when Arsenal finish 3rd only to get knocked out to PSG in the semis will be heavenly.

Well as I know absolutely nothing about any other team/club/squad other than Liverpool I have been doing a bit of scouting of our opposition Leicester.
Having remembered that Leicester had Steptoe playing for them many years ago I checked up and it turns out his name is Jamie Vardy and he still plays for the as a grandad Steptoe centre forward.
So stuff about him being long in the tooth, a fox in the box, and pacey. I hope we can contain him.

Not to mention… Rebekah Vardy.

Also, they haven’t scored at home in the league since December.

So if we don’t keep a clean sheet… Slot out.
