Well I suppose he picks the eleven that he sees as winning the match. The bench doesn’t really weaken anywhere on the pitch either. I would have started Wirtz and left Macca on the bench. But he is the boss!

Not that impressed, make a couple of tweaks and I would still be unimpressed. The team needs to step up, if Mo, Isak, Konate, etc have a shit game for 45 mins, take them off, that will impress me. Reputations rather than form, are in the starting lineup.

I’m guessing that it is tactical unless there are some knocks we don’t know about. Wirtz did get a bit of a kicking against Northern Ireland.
