There is no logical reason to believe that we can win this match. The sides are far apart in terms of form.
Still, the first goal will tell the story. Take the lead and perhaps they’ll wilt under the pressure.

After trying my best to be optimistic ahead of the FA Cup quarter final and the game in Paris, I think it advisable to make it clear that we haven’t got a chance. We’re crap and we know are.

Well, I wasn’t going to watch this, but I noticed last night that the game is included with my Prime membership (must remember to order a ream of A4 and some toner cartridges).
So we will go again. I’m not expecting us to win the tie, I’m just hoping for a little passion and a respectable performance. Oddly enough, I felt the same when we faced Barcelona in 2019, but back then the loss in Camp Nou felt like the odd result, not the typical one.
The rotation at the weekend actually appeared to work well, but you could see that the relative freshness of Fulham was telling by the second half. I expect Slot to rotate back again.

There’s always a chance, but I’m pretty certain nothing special will happen here. They’re too good for us right now and also have the experience of last year. I believe they’ll see it through.
Of course though, from our side, the only logical thing to do is give it our all on the night and see what it brings us. Hopefully we can at least get a win, a performance, some positives.
I would’ve left Salah on the bench against Fulham and would do it also here.
