I thought I would put my neck on the line.
Go for broke frankly, there is very little lose and who knows.
Don’t bow out without giving your all from the players to the manager to the fans.

My advice just play Rio and have a go.
Tactically sound advice if I say so myself!
One final magic trick at Anfield for the season? I think winning here is possible if the players are willing to give 110% and don’t listen to the orders of the headcoach.
The first goal will be absolutely vital.
Exactly this. Let’s get it, and in the first 10mins, too.
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Hopefully
Odds are that we’ll go out without a whimper. And that’s not even the worst case scenario.
Anything else would be a huge surprise.
There is no logical reason to believe that we can win this match. The sides are far apart in terms of form.
Still, the first goal will tell the story. Take the lead and perhaps they’ll wilt under the pressure.
No back five here. Have to go for it.
After trying my best to be optimistic ahead of the FA Cup quarter final and the game in Paris, I think it advisable to make it clear that we haven’t got a chance. We’re crap and we know are.
That should do the trick.
Well, I wasn’t going to watch this, but I noticed last night that the game is included with my Prime membership (must remember to order a ream of A4 and some toner cartridges).
So we will go again. I’m not expecting us to win the tie, I’m just hoping for a little passion and a respectable performance. Oddly enough, I felt the same when we faced Barcelona in 2019, but back then the loss in Camp Nou felt like the odd result, not the typical one.
The rotation at the weekend actually appeared to work well, but you could see that the relative freshness of Fulham was telling by the second half. I expect Slot to rotate back again.

True and as Michael Owen would say: “We have to score more goals than PSG to go through to the next round.” ![]()
5-0 it is then!
Very important match. Most important of the season for now.
I presume it’s a 325 formation Rio, Gakpo, Isak and/or Chiesa, Ekitikè and Salah up front. Gravenberch and Szoboszlai midfield. VVD, Konaté and Gomez in defense.
Come on Gomez get a goal infront of the Kop!
Stop driving at 150 mph, it will kill you.
Stops speeding.
Stop smoking 60 ciggies a day, it will kill you.
Stops smoking.
Stop drinking a bottle of Jameson before lunch. It will kill you.
Stops drinking.
Stays hoping… …
Start Rio.
Ekitike CF, Salah right.
Gravenberch, Wirtz, Szoboszlai.
Frimpong and Kerkez FBs
The tactics should be to pass, pass and then make a great pass, shoot, score and then win the game.
After Saturday I’m not sure of anything anymore…..

There’s always a chance, but I’m pretty certain nothing special will happen here. They’re too good for us right now and also have the experience of last year. I believe they’ll see it through.
Of course though, from our side, the only logical thing to do is give it our all on the night and see what it brings us. Hopefully we can at least get a win, a performance, some positives.
I would’ve left Salah on the bench against Fulham and would do it also here.
May the Lord saviour Jesus Christ have mercy on us.
I thought Salah played well on Saturday. Would definitely start him.
