I think there’s a good chance he comes off the bench. But I don’t think he will start. And Gakpo’s famous cutting inside (and often going backwards with it) for shots from difficult angles and body positions… he could reduce it a little bit, he’s not Cristiano Ronaldo. Add more variety, be more unpredictable.

Forgive me, but I never watch Real Madrid for obvious reasons and therefore I know nothing about their players or formations etc.

Isn’t he returning from injury? I’d expect he will be on the bench, don’t mind applauding him if he came on but beyond that I don’t care. He no longer plays for us and he plays for a shithouse team

If Trent plays, he deserves a hostile reception. Divorced millions of us. So sorry but football is as fickle as it can be, but he knew that didnt he. Its also a results based business and if we can tarnish his performance, all the better. It will be a complete Trent (treat 
) if he gifts us a goal. But at best, I suspect he’ll get a run out as sub, depending on if its feasible later in the game.
We need to play like we used to for Rafa, as tight as tight can be possible.

Heard a rumor that it will be same team as the weekend, except Wirtz in for Gakpo.

I’m cautious with rumours over starting XI’s (gone are the days of bib theory under Brendao!), but this is one of the possibilities I’ve mentioned. I could see Wirtz starting and possibly deploy a box-midfield shape in possession. That could mean though that our LB goes forward more than our RB tonight, which would also make sense. But let’s wait and see.
