Think this will be a damp squib.
If Arsenal get through on Wednesday night there’s no way Arteta will play his 1st 11, 2 big games in 4 days plus the travelling so he wont want their monumental injury list getting any longer with a CL final a few weeks away. If they go out on Wednesday their season is over, their heads are battered and the last place they’ll want to be is at Anfield being fucking ridiculed relentlessly for 2 hours.
Plus we are on the beach.
All that said it’s time we put our professional heads back on. Yes, we’ve pissed the league but people are paying good money to attend this and deserve to see a comitted performance.
I’d like to see Endo start as DM and give Gravenberch license to get forward more. Bradley to play the full 90 if he can, not interested in any sentimental bullshit at RB.

I feel this is a much bigger game for us than Chelshite. With the timing, making things harder for Arsenal plus creating a mental narrative for next season its important to win it and I want a stronger side: Happy to give Endo another start and Bradley and Quansah too but would rather see Macca in place of Harvey and perhaps Diaz as well.

It’s tempting to play our strongest XI for this, make things difficult for Arsenal in the league regardless of whether they progress against PSG.
Finishing 3rd, 4th or even lower and not winning the UCL will be damaging to them, even though they’d have Champions League football next season.

Not really interested. I’m looking forward towards May 25th and Crystal Palace at home. The last game, the presentation of the trophy, and a proper title celebration to go with it!

I fail to see how this game will have any effect whatsoever on what happens next season. Apart from the fact that both teams will be playing only for pride and prestige, there’s an entire preseason and transfer period to get through.
I get that it’s far more important for the fans and bragging rights, but that’s about it.

Way I see it is we’ve nothing left to prove, if you want proof of our superiority over Arsenal, take a glance at the table…lost count how many points clear we stand, what is it, like 52?
The results between now and Palace have no bearing for next season, our squad in particular will look very different to what it is now.
Main objective is having everyone who’ll still be a Liverpool by the time pre-season comes around, available and ready to roam.
It’s so people can make up some theory in about 6 months when we lose a league cup game.
