Midfield looks good and doing work in defence as well (Great goal saving clearance by Ox), forwards are missing a few too many passes and Mane needs to relax now, defence solid.
Arteta is obviously friendly with Simeone, he’s told him to target Mane and get him sent off.
HT 1-0:
So far so good. We dominated the game and hardly let them a few scraps to feed on. Good defensive performance from the lads until the touchline row between Arteta and Klopp. This seemed to suddenly lift our lads’ game. Far more energy went into it from that moment, and Arsenal found themselves pegged back and completely crushed by our lads’ pace and rapidity.
The one goal lead is deserved, hopefully our lads can build on it, continue to put Arsenal under pressure and create chances for themselves. Arsenal’s legs will become more and more tired, so pounce on it, and hopefully punish them.
Fingers crossed that our lads can bring the three points home tonight!

Was a cool situation. Enough with one such in a game (we don’t want Klopp to get a red card). , but always nice to see some emotions and spirit !

Impressed with Ox. We are dangerous as soon as we change gears, its just about doing it at times.
I really don’t understand the Arsenal game of playing from the back of your midfielders aren’t good enough to beat the press. We need to make them more mistakes and be clinical.
This is a game I miss Bobby, no wonder he’s so good against these lot. He knows the perfect way to press such sides.

First half stats. We were workmanlike and careful in the first 20’, then gradually got our hooks in. Played well IMO.

Our midfield looks really tidy today. Fabinho with Thiago ensures 2nd balls gets retained by us. AOC needs to improve on his decision-making instead of running into blind alleys…
Looking at how we play, we really need a very very clever centre-forward as Jota is not up to it in the middle…

Also we look dangerous from the left. I’ll leave Tsimi for a few more games till Robbo returns to his best. Yet another game he hasn’t done much wrong.
Defensively we have looked solid. I didn’t mention that previously, but we have been really good defensively. Although I think we lack some on offense, maybe it is better this way against Arsenal.

Thiago is so slick on the ball!
Chamberlain has been good defensively (brilliant block) but it feels like too many of our attacks have broken down with him.
Jota’s passing has been shocking, this isn’t as evident when he comes off the left where he’s not expected to link up so much.
Thiago and Fabinho are playing well in the midfield. Looking a bit better in there so far than the last couple of games. Full backs haven’t had much opportunity to create but have provided quality on the occasions they’ve had a chance.
Good game. We need to start the second with the same intensity we ended the first.
Let’s see if Ramsdale takes his sweet time now with the goal kicks.
Yes, he doesn’t need to do that now we’re one up. The Arse are just looking for this sort of situation to then play into space for the front two to latch on to.
Play with some nous, and we win this 1-0 comfortably.
Mane is solid going forward and defending. If we put Jota on the side they’ll attack down that side with Saka
It’s more so his decison making. Running with the ball, Mane free on the left, Jota takes three more steps and then decides to pass to Mane when the opportunity has gone.
I think only Jota has been poor for us , the rest doing a good job.
