I always thought the word “lisp” was particularly cruel for those that have one.
I have never understood anybody taking the piss out of Roy Hodgson for his speech issue.
Seems very cruel and no doubt there are thousands of Liverpool fans out there who suffer the same or similar issues with their speech.
It’s an issue he has no control over. Would you people also taken the piss out of somebody in. A wheelchair because they have difficulty walking?

Btw when he was in charge of England I am sure there was a newspaper who a lot of us don’t like who completely took the piss out of his speech issue… so ye…. That’s great company to be keeping.

I’ve never thought of it as a speech issue. I’d always assumed that it was a Southern speech thing. Lot’s of southerners speak like that. Harry Rednap does and Micheal Barrymore used to use it as a verbal prop on a show he hosted “awight at the back”.

Well that’s what it is.
The bloke can’t pronounce certain letters coz of a speech impediment. That’s why I’ve never been able to understand the criticism and piss taking of it

Painful because they’re a bunch of cunts that were either trying to snap our lads or because they roll about like they’ve been shot.
I quite look forward to seeing how much shithousery they will throw at us - it will be painful though! The more they throw the more our crowd will boo and jeer them.
