Aye, the law of averages assumes an unbiased outcome. It doesn’t apply when comparing the best of the world with a bag of shite.
Pre Match: Liverpool v. Manchester United, 2000 BST (UTC +1), Tuesday 19 April 2022 (Premier League)
Said it for me!
I’m not sure whether a couple of the names on that United team sheet are players or brands of electrical appliance.
It looks very defensive. We need to be patient with this one.
Lovely jubbly, Jurgen goes strong. 5-0 for the goal difference gods.
Laughed when I heard Varane was missing out. Let’s be clear — acknowledging we have a better team, Varane is nowhere near as good as van Dijk. Virgil can lead a back four and was the mainstay in transforming us from wobbly at the back to a title-winning defence. Varane played next to Ramos for 90% of his senior career; he’s good with a partner leading but has no leadership capabilities (essentially a technically better version of Skrtel/Lovren).

Minute’s applause
Liverpool v Man Utd (20:00 BST)
Manchester United have confirmed there will be a fan-led minute’s applause in the seventh-minute of tonight’s game at Liverpool.
The mark of recognition follows the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo’s new-born baby boy and is a gesture planned by fans of both clubs.
Both teams will also wear black armbands.
I think it may be a bit more muted than expected though as we might be tired from already having celebrated 2 goals by then.
He’s a much better defender than slabhead though , not that it’s saying a lot but still
Scholes not holding anything back.
Being on the East Coast of the US, I used to hate having to work during weeknight United games (for the stress I feel lol) — took an afternoon off for the 4-2 last season. Best course of action after appearing being stung by a bee reacting to Firmino’s goal in the UEL back in 2016.
Now I work from home, but I make a point to not light up during the workday…except for today (no meetings/deliverables the rest of the day). I am sure @Scott.Jones has his wherever he’s watching.
Yep I noticed last week. Klopp being ruthless. It’s the business end of the season and klopp has his rotation in place. I think as Elliot improves his defensive game, he will be more involved. He will be ok. OX and Taki are definitely done here
Would be hilarious if all 3 started against Everton, mind.
EDIT: In all seriousness, I don’t think our squad turnover will be anywhere close to what people assume it is.
Manchester United have arrived in their team bus, which they are parking on the pitch shortly. I pray for an early Liverpool goal to save us from Utd’s tactics depriving us a game of football.
Jake, Kent.
:0))
The last couple of weeks have really driven home what an absurdly strong squad we’ve managed to put together, and it’s something I think often flies under the radar.
Today we’re playing Utd and there are no shocks in the selection - every player would rightly think of themselves as in our first XI. Yet our bench still includes at least 4 players many fans think should be first choice. There is also Gomez who some people think with patience can get back to being a first choice, Bobby doesnt even make the bench.
Just seen their line up…if we lose to that shower then Klopp out.
He’s got a foot injury, apparently.
How about you just leave the forums, permanently?
Would be but won’t happen. Taki was exclusively a cup player this season. OX had many many chances when we had injuries
