Granted our back 4 is a complete trial by fire and it’s hard to believe there was a chance to play with this squad and not give up 1 or 2 goals and this team wasn’t put out to score 2-3 goals.

I’m just annoyed. When I saw the lineup, I figured it was a loss as I don’t see how that lineup possibly works cohesively going forward and there is just too much inexperience in the back. We could have been done with the Champions LEague group stage with even a tie - so set the team up in a 4-4-2 and save Mane and Salah for the weekend… and play park the bus to protect the back 4… even that I could have rallied behind as a good plan. This… was just a bad plan.

this is the Atalanta I thought we would see in the away match. Surprised it happened at Anfield. nonetheless, they are showing their quality today. they have a lot of energy and are pressing the ball carrier well. Respect to Gian for a well organized team.

We have a game pretty much every three days for 6 weeks now. The fitness department will be having a massive say on whos playing when. Brighton is more important than tonight’s game. Still comfortable to qualify from the group even with this loss.
