Davies on the bench, hope he gets some game time.
Not impressed with Milner starting at home in the middle. Would rather prefer Jones to take the game to Brighton at home and offer more penetration for the front 3. Milner’s work rate is great , but his final ball and inability to carve teams open hurts us, especially at home.

A huge relief to see Salah and Thiago.
Hope Mane is just being kept safe to return for the City game, and not that he will be fighting with time to get fit. Ditto about Fabinho.
Worried about the bench, no real game changers there, but I’m reserving some optimism as Jones and Ox made very positive cameos vs West Ham a few days ago, were both involved in goals and were influencing the game, so if they can build on that then maybe it will not be so bad.

yeah, hope so, that seemed to be the plan against west ham. Instead of using Thiago in his favoured position at no. 6 in Munich, he was played further forward to help the front 3.

Given all the rumours flying around I’m relieved at that starting line up. Surprised Milner is starting again. Thought Jones would have got the nod. Fuck all on the bench, even with 9 subs. Can’t remember a season like this for injuries and absences.
