Get hendo with thiago and gini in the middle and put Nat in beside fabinho, taki instead of bobby and see how we get on.
Play quick and play forward and try get momentum going as early as possible against these. There big and strong but pressure them into mistakes high up the pitch and I think we can score a few.
Can put Shaq back in with Milner then if needed as subs
I don’t think Shaqiri will start against Burnley, because he played well against the Mancs. Look what happened with Minamino, good performance against Palace and hasn’t been seen since. No, we’ll stick with Firmino, who at the moment, is very poor and that’s being kind.
Minamino played well in that game but Bobby got man of the match, for me Minamino is way too easily eased off the ball does a lot of running round but little end product, he can’t be impressing Jurgen much in training.
Get this one out of the way. To paraphrase Joseph “any WIN will do”.
This game will take us to the halfway stage of the season.
So!!! If the old adage is true? And things really do “even themselves out over a season” Then the second half of the season will see us start to steamroller these bus parkers. We’ll pick up no new injuries and our injured personnel will return. In addition VAR will give us numerous goals and refs will become fair to us.
As for our game against the gravel voices double decker driver, I’m sure that Júrgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this one.
I’d drop either Bobby or Mo but would be more inclined to drop Mo for this one. At least Bobby might find a bit of space to work in but Mo will spend 90 minutes with Burnley’s left-back draped over his shoulder.
Think I heard Neil Atkinson say that what he wants out of this game is for one of our lads - a Hendo or a Milner get right in the referees face and tear a fucking strip off him, to the point of getting a yellow card if necessary. Hard to disagree with this.
Bollocks to winning the fair play league year in year out. I’d like our football club to make clear that the shit we have to deal with isn’t acceptable.
It wont happen. We’re too soft as a club, both on and off the pitch, and have been for years.
That is why pundits and the media as a whole demonise our players and label them cheats when the exact opposite is the truth. It’s why referees and VAR officials feel they can ignore acts of violence committed on our players on a regular basis and it’s why those same officials can manipulate the results of our games without fear of being called out on it.
It’s reached a stage where I’m resigned to it and right now I have absolutely no idea what the top of the table looks like. I’m not interested in their contrived title race.
they’ve been at it for a long time and there is no question it has cost us titles in recent years. They’ve raised the bar this season to the point they genuinely don’t seem to give a fuck how obvious it is because they know there’s no comeback.
I do know one thing though, if we don’t address it as a club it will finish us as contenders over the next few years because it’s as sinister as it gets.
Just google “whinging Scousers”- the moment we say anything, the media will be attacking us mercilessly. They’re just itching to unleash that narrative again.
Fuck the media, the likes of Gary Lineker with his Leicester bias and his friends hate us anyway. Liverpool can not let the match officials do this shit on an almost weekly base without letting them know that we know what they are doing.
love the idea !! would be great to see Hendo or Fab with a scary face all over the ref, like Jurgen does sometimes to the fourth official.
Let’s atleast let them know they are messing around, instead of always be the good guys, keep your head down and play till the next foul is again given against you.
Henderson usually points things out to the ref and makes our case. He doesn’t go over the top as with some captains in other teams, but our Jordan does get into the ref’s ear.
But his move to CB in the last two games doesn’t allow him to get as involved, and that’s another reason that we need him back in midfield soon.
Milner is also vocal, but of course, his games are understandably being managed.
He once got caught in possession which cost a goal. Some of his performances have been close to MOTM. Obviously still has some developing to do but is a worthy member of the squad who is more reliable then some. He is confident but not arrogant although there were times 2-3 years ago when I thought he was but he has outgrown that phase.
I remember only one where I thought, he can become a regular in the future. For the rest, he runs with the ball without going anywhere a taking too much time handling the ball. Can he become a regular for us, I hope so but I’m not betting the bank on it.
