Our season is a bit comparable to Sheffield United’s. We are like a better version of them this season. Like them we had an awesome season last year, and like them we have fallen from grace like Icarus after we touched the sun last season. We really do need to get those wings back and functional.
But if I am cynical, this season is a major write off. I don’t think we get Top 4, disastrously, there is even a chance we won’t even get Europa League. But if the team is strong, we can come back next season and fight for the title. That’s my hope. We know our fantastic top ceiling, we have seen it for 2 years and injuries have been so cruel and harmed our rythm this season.
I have not lost faith in Klopp and his coaching team. Sure, I don’t understand the Salah sub, but I don’t know all the facts. I know that Klopp and our coaches are top people though. So yeah, imo there is a chance we can return to the top next season. But right now, this season hurts a bit to the point where I find it slightly embarrassing (not this game, Chelsea is a very good team, no shame losing against them even for a top team).
But still I hope…
