it’s interesting to watch just how static our front 4/5 players are when we are in possession of the ball in the final 3rd. there really is no movement from those players when we hit the top of the 18 and it allows Chelsea to really become compact and shut down the passing lanes. they’re giving us the wings and because we dont’ have a target man they can easily defend a cross.

thats the problem with playing that side of the field with TAA. my question is why doesn’t Robbo struggle as much? the argument has always been that mane does a great job covering but right now mane is on TAA side and they are still successfully targeting that side of the field and not robbo’s

we get possession on a turnover, and player with the ball turns his back to their goal and passes to the fullback. instead of having a run at the defenders and trying to open up an angle for a pass or a shot.
Goes to show now negative our in-match strategy is right now. Perfectly happy to recycle the ball and hope for a prayer.
