We don’t have any pre-match rituals in our household. Besides, my other half is nowhere near as fearsome as Boudica sounds.

No but her post match opinions could be epic  Not as swift as yours though I suspect.

An astounding preface and thoroughly befitting of this grudge match.

As a contrapuntal, lets leave a marker on them today. I really need to see the air ambulance, and my money is on Millie to deal the coup de grace, whether that be golden vegetable or chicken and mushroom, I care not but neither without soy.

Being a digital dunce, I wonder if the digitally literate could give me a few pointers re VPNs.

I’ve just got a new PC and I’m considering getting a VPN for when I’m streaming live matches. I have a few daft questions if that’s alright.
A. Is it a good idea to use a VPN when streaming?
B. Are VPNs free? If not, then what’s the usual price?
C. Can anyone recommend one?

Sorry for going off-topic but I can’t see an appropriate tech thread.

For entirely different reasons, I use Surfshark. You can usually get brilliant discounts off their prices, I think I paid $40 for 2 years.

Personally, I wouldn’t stream without a VPN and the ability to seem to be anywhere in the world is very handy at times.

$2.49 per month.

Thanks for that. But why wouldn’t you stream without a VPN?

Edit: Ok. I’ve looked into it and now I see why. Seems like I don’t need one at the moment, but if I start travelling again I’ll probably get one.

I want revenge after they injured Virgil, hoping for a good result against the Bitters. I don’t mind how they do it.

It’s not the travel. Most streams are technically illegal. With a vpn you can’t be traced.

No but may I suggest this screen saver:

Ah, yes. there is that. I’ll think about it. It doesn’t seem like it’s something urgent.

@Barnestormer Watch that man. He could eat you with a fork and spoon.

A. Only if you have to. It slows the connection but will keep you anonymous and make you appear that you are located elsewhere.

B. There are some free ones but they offer limited bandwidth and are often blocked by content providers.

C. I use NordVPN and they meet my requirements of making me appear in the UK when in Germany and vice versa. The only time I’ve used it for football is when watching the BBC from Germany.

Right so, after Chelsea’s draw (nice one secret agent Taki!) , a win by 3 goals in our favour puts us in 4th, at least until West Ham play. That’s alright  Although I’d prefer we win by 5…

What’s the odds for a red card in this one.

Hope the boys concentrate on the job and not doing a job on somebody.

The first 10 mins of this one will be interesting.

I don’t want to get into a deep conversation about VPN in a pre-match thread, however.
I have done a fair amount of downloading and streaming the only thing I have been ‘got’ for is downloading music (so don’t down load music anymore youtube covers that).
Last time I looked a a VPN cost about 3 euros a month (for one that gave detailed ‘specifications’).
What you might want a VPN for is country specific ‘stuff’ like BBC for me or even Netflix even then I think you need to know what your doing (seems to need some manipulations and fixes from what I have read).
