Pre-Match: Liverpool vs Leicester, Kangaroo Cup third-round, September 27 Wednesday 19:45

I’ve visited a few Leicester forums and the general consensus is that they might have given it a go if they had been at home but, as it’s an Anfield, they’ve got next to no chance anyway so they might as well play the kids and save the first team for their trip to Blackburn on Sunday.

Well he’s never given a dodgy decision against us. I mean he’s never actually referred us but you have to give the chap the benefit of the doubt.

He doesn’t have to have reffed us though. Linespersons and VAR can give dodgy decisions or even non decicions against us too. The liner who witnessed Bernardo hanging off Mo and failed to flag springs to mind?

I also expect a number of changes.

Spurs will have a free week ahead of our game with them.

We’re a bit short in defence so that’s especially the area where I hope we have enough stability, enough solidity on the day and no new injuries/issues.

That’s gross.

This is a family forums Commando jheeze louiseeee, I thought you were a sensible one.

Kelleher
Bajcetic Quansah vDijk Tsimikas
Elliott Endo Gravenberch
Salah Gakpo Jota

I’d go with something like that. Not quite a full rotation as I think Leicester are a PL quality side.

Spoke too soon I guess

Have a feeling we will get a similar team to Linz.

I’d prefer to see a few more academy guys, if possible, though I think most of the better ones are on loan.

What news of Kaide Gordon?

Just going off what Pep Ljinders said.

I think the bench should be mostly U23s to be fair and some shouldn’t be anywhere near the side but Robbo talked of competition in that 4 cup season pushing them to another level.

I get it. I’d like to see maybe Clark or Musialowski get a look in here.

Rolled his ankle just in time to miss this game.

If Trent is doubtful for Saturday I wouldn’t risk Gomez for this game. Play Bajcetic instead at RB

Be good to see some consistency from last Thursday, give the guys the opportunity to get used to playing with each other.

In times like this when seemingly all our RBs, including Bradley and Ramsay seem to be injured, I wonder what happened to Isaac Mabaya? He played some minutes at RB last season (pre-season especially) and signed a new contract in May, but now it seems like he is absent as well?

He had an ankle injury which kept him out for about 9 months. He made his return from injury in August but unfortunately he hasn’t been in the last couple of U21 squads so it wpuld seem he’s had either a recurrance or a new minor injury. Club hasn’t said anything.

He did sign a new contract this summer. Hopefully he can recover soon as there is an opportunity for him there but that window is closing fast as Bajcetic gets games at RB and Bradley returns in January.

Would have been perfect time for Bradley to get League cup and Europa game time. He’s a class act. Unlikely to get many minutes in 2nd half of season
