Pre Match | Liverpool vs Leipzig | CL Round of 16 2nd leg | Wednesday March 10th 20:00h | Puskas Arena

The team is more balance today, if we don’t do anything crazy and keep it ight at the back we got this one :crossed_fingers:

Bobby would have be closer to Alisson than Gulacsi

Jota’s had a couple, Salah/Mane had a shared one, Trent and Thiago were both through on goal and chose to pass instead of shoot.

I agree it’s been fairly even; think we’ve done better overall but not a massive difference between the two teams. Poor decision making in/around the box preventing both teams from scoring atm

Feel the same. Played well overall, just not clinical enough (yet((i hope (((please god))))))

HT 0-0:

So far so good in terms of general performance and result. However, this tie should be wrapped up since long. 3-0 wouldn’t be an exaggerated result by any stretch of the imagination. Chance after chance got begging in that first half, so hopefully that won’t come back to bite our collective asses…

Our center-back pair is the good surprise so far for us. They both look solid and committed, so hopefully they can perform like that during the whole match. Our midfield looks good with Fabinho back in there: solid, dependable, controls the game in the whole, bar a couple of scares. Thiago plays his role as creative outlet very well.

Our forward line however… where to begin with? Mané doesn’t succeed at anything he’s trying, despite of working very hard. Jota gets in good positions but wasted two golden chances. As for Salah, he looks the best of the three so far. A pity that he couldn’t bury his chance on the break from Thiago’s forward ball… come on lads, score your chances please, that’s what forwards have to do!

In summary, this is a game really worthwhile to watch. I’m enjoying it. And no stupid ref trying to steal the limelights from the players, so all good for the time being. Leipzig are a good opponent who try to play football the right way, so they’ll stay dangerous until the end. A concentrated and committed performance from everyone please, and we should be able to get through. Fingers crossed!

0-0, second halves are almost always different to first halves, so anything can happen.
We have played well though (so have the opposition), but goalless means that aggregate should see us through in any case since our defence has been pretty good actually.

Agreed…

You know it’s a serious game when @Semmy has got out of bed early to watch

Very entertaining game… Fab back in midfield is very telling… Protecting backline. Allowing Thiago and Gini to attack… And in general adds defense and height to midfield.

Fabinho in midfield is just huge, he’s been brilliant. Also allowed Thiago to shine.

Let us all at the very least agree, that if we were neutrals, it is a good and competitive match to watch. Sure, no goal rush, but two teams trying.

Also, in our favour, Leipzig is now on a timer. They need 2 goals fast without conceding. This is good for us, as it can lead to them making sub par stressed decisions on the pitch. Just saying.

What happen to our forwards the last few months. Anyway I’ll settle for 0-0.

We’ve missed him there so much!

Kampl off. Nagelsmann is taking a huge risk now.

Just saw that Messi shot thrice. It was worth watching thrice. Sure, he missed on a penalty, but his demise as a great player may have been a tad premature
