Pre Match | Liverpool vs. Sheffield Utd | PL Matchday 6 | Saturday 24th October 20:00 | Anfield

Sky and BT are just the platforms for PPV, the PL are setting the price.

Still won’t pay for it though.

Would love to know the viewing figures for the PPV

This is the most important game of the season, well at least it will be until the next one. It’s an absolutely must win game.

The peons of PGMOL, no doubt encouraged by our recent discomfiture, have appointed mike " the great, useless, spawny-eyed, parrot-faced wazzock " dean as the man in the middle, with andrea “should have gone to Specsavers” marriner on VAR.

So, come on you Redmen, don’t give them the satisfaction.

And now, it is with something of the emotions of a character in a Greek Tragedy pursued by the Fates, that I am obliged to announce, thanks to the efforts of that eagle eyed misokakadachtylist, @cynicaloldgit, there are to be no further bulletins regarding the comings and goings of the Lowton household.

Boudica, suspecting a dalliance with some “Lawton” woman, has forbidden it, and, despite my protestations of innocence, I am exiled, sine die, to the potting shed.

No doubt there will be those who welcome this proclamation with a shout of joy as when the roaming 10,000 Greeks saw Euxeinos Pontos from Mount Theches in Trebizond: Crying Thálatta! Thálatta! they fall to embracing one another, and admins and moderators as well, with tears in their eyes.

So true it is, indeed, that tears belong to joy and sorrow alike.

Meanwhile, Lawro, our very own Cassius, and one never shy of twisting the knife in the wound, has deviously predicted a 2-1 win to us.

Hopefully his attempted kiss of death won’t throw a spanner in the works and upset the apple-cart.

I’ll take a scrappy 1-0 win to us. :astonished:

Given that you actually got one right a few nights ago you’re on a streak. Don’t let the side down now.

Odd, only discussing one league, shouldn’t we include the other 19,999?

I’ll be happy as long as we don’t concede 7.

Seems like Thiago is in the squad, and on a side note, the Liverpool Echo is the absolute worst site to read due to all the ads moving content around the screen.

It has stopped raining but might only be temporary. Hopefully the worst has passed over and headed up the M62 to Manchester.

I stopped reading it, most articles are now fillers to show more ads.

We cut the cable to save money, then started adding streaming services. Currently we have AT&T Now, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+ and I cracked and added Peacock here in the States. I’m sure we are paying more than we ever were before, but it feels like the bastards have me by the balls. I feel dirty, but like an addict, I will do whatever I have to do to get my fix. Peacock is crap, but the match will be streaming reliably without fuss, and that’s what I want.

Anyway, fair play to UK fans for standing against the PPV offering from Sky, especially as you already pay a subscription, so they are double charging, the cheeky buggers. And fair play if you have donated to a food bank.

Onto the game…

Our first five games have been very tough, as a batch. And then add in injuries to Alisson and VVD and it’s amazing that with a win in game six we can go joint top of the table on points, at least overnight.

If it’s an ugly win like at Ajax, I will take it.

I think we will play quite well, as it happens, and run out 3-1 winners. Brewster will score for them and prompt a bit of hand wringing about selling him, but we will all be magnanimous as we will bag three goals and three points.

Mo, Mane and Robbo for us. Yes, Robbo. The lad has been getting high up the pitch and into a couple of dangerous positions. He’s gonna put his left foot through the ball and add the third.

And it’s printed in Manchester.

Alisson Becker has been named in Liverpool’s matchday squad for this evening’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

Probably on the bench then.

My anxiety levels are rising again, the thought of Adrian in goal once more.

Would there be any point in naming him on the bench if he’s not fit to play? He’s starting surely. Along with Jota apparently.

Maybe, yeah.

Don’t know why we need to give out news like this?

Just give us the team an hour before and leave us in peace until then. :joy:

There you go  HUZZAH!!
