I’m reasonably happy with that half. We created a good few chances and they created very little. My only concern is the number of overhit passes we have.
Not sure what Klopp will say at halftime. I expect he will swap out some of the midfield at the hour mark. Keita for Henderson looks an obvious change but not sure about the rest.

Good game from both sides, at a very high tactical and technical level. Our lads do everything right as far I can see. They pressurize the opposition very strongly, try to win every duel, are generally alert and pass the ball around quickly while staying strong at the back.
Villareal on the other hand weather the storm thanks to their good defensive organization, and are occasionally looking for the sucker-punch. They play to their own strengths and are a dangerous team without a doubt. No wonder Juve and Bayern went out to them.
The only thing our lads can do is to continue playing and hope for the opening, which should come if they play at the same pace and intensity, and Villareal’s legs start to tire down. Fingers crossed for a win tonight, we look worthy of it.

I think the overhit passes is when we speed it up, but better than underhit 
Origi needs to come on and have some shots at the keeper. It’s the only way we going to score. Walking the ball into the net is not going to work tonight.

I think more than anything else, we need to be patient. move the ball quickly but not force it

Villareal put out a decent low block but tbf they got away with a few. Could be 4 up with clinical finishing. Still created loads. Somebody got to put them away them in the second.
