We’ve seen many a shit Lfc teams beat good united teams at anfield so the boys need to be focused from minute 1. Need to quiet the crowd and an early goal would be nice.
If united were bottom without a win this would still be tough. Just don’t let that stain Ronaldo score.

This is a tough one .
Of course it would be good to see Man Utd get a right good thrashing. and be outplayed all over the park.
On the other hand, that would probably mean the end for Ole - with the fear being that somebody competent takes charge.
A professional 3-1 win would be best - 3 more points, Ole keeps his job, and the Mam Utd fans can cry into their pillows tonight.

Agree with some on here that Klopp needs to get at them. He needs aggression from his players to hassle theirs, cut off their supply to their forwards and get at their defence. Geggenpress the heck out of them.

No defending on the half way line or we get punished, keita not solid enough for a midfield 3 so Milner Fab and Henderson. Ole only tactics be long balls in behind Trent to catch us out, he knows little else

Agreed. Rashford will be on the left wing, no chance a dead leg keeping him out and most likely that’s where we’ll be most vulnerable.
Hopefully Milner on the right of midfield to help Trent when needed defensively and also cover for him to allow Trent to push forward in the right moments.

Spent a fair bit over the summer so I doubt it. Then again they aren’t winning the league so maybe they will
Just realised it’s match day. I went to the local shop to get coffee and realised it’s closed because it’s Sunday and I live in Germany.
Anyway, I’ve always said that this is my least favourite fixture because of the poisonous atmosphere. I’ll probably watch with the sound off.
Last year United looked knackered in this fixture. I think they had lots of games with their Europa League run but they seemed to peter out after 20 minutes or so. For this game we have had an extra day’s rest but have had to do all the travelling so it will even out.
I can’t decide on our midfield but we need to start with Fabinho in the DM slot and I’d stick Hendo and Keita either side of that. Rest of the team should pick itself.
