Strange that nearly every pundit picked them to be above us at years end, some even saying they would win it, and now 8 games in they are major underdogs.
As are Chelsea. We should have won that game and probably would have if we were playing against 11. Getting them down to 10 only made douchel buckle down
It’s not over-rating. Jurgen is a master of what he wishes to convey to the media. Inside closed doors , He will just go and say…smash them, they are ripe for the taking and are shit.
But all that said , These manures do pick themselves up a fair notch when they face us at Old Trafford. Here’s hoping that the last season’s win repeats.
I’ll admit, I have a soft spot for Ole. Reminds me of one of those kind old uncles who is well-intentioned, nice but clueless.
It makes it easy to forgive him. I wish him a long career managing ManU… because he seems to have no grasp whatsover of strategy or tactics.
If we lose, I don’t think it will be because they performed well… but more down to whether our defense continues to underperform. They’ve been bad on a number of occasions already this season.
We are going to beat them. I feel confident. I do think Manchester U will score a goal though, but we will score more. If I were to guess we press them, score a goal, then they might get one back, but we kill them with more in the end
Anyway, unless Manchester United dramatically changes their form, we should be very capable to humiliate them without playing the best match ever.
Taking the 20 BBC Sport pundits as a measure, 11 - 9 thought United were going to finish above us. We have a long way to go yet to prove the small majority wrong.
You’re probably right about the United favouritism in much of the other media, these probably being more poorly-informed still.
