Sadio is still a monster, I never get tired of watching him

Yup. Think he has done brilliantly. Its basically 2 v 3 in mid and both hendo and gini have done well.
But its time to get keita and dominate

Keep his hands down by his side

HT 1-1:

Good early spell from our lads, with a goal coming as a reward. Obviously, Cheaty were surprised by our formation. Then, they came back into the game with a good move coming from De Bruyne, all alone on the left wing, crossing the perfect pass to Jesus, who was really sharp and put it in. After that, our game was broken down. Cheaty were all over our lads, and the ‘hands’ penalty seemed to gift them the 2-1, but De Bruyne, the best player on the pitch so far, scoffed it wide. :+1:t2:

For the second half, another midfielder is needed imo, in order to restrain De Bruyne who starts all moves, and finds the space due to our two midfielders being too stretched. Bobby (who hasn’t been bad at all) isn’t a midfielder, and we don’t manage to create enough chances with that risky makeshift formation. Jota looks a bit lost on that right side, so I expect Klopp to make the necessary changes to find more cohesion again.

Hopefully our lads will be able to exert more control over the game, neutralise their forward players and create and score enough chances to win the game. Fingers crossed! :crossed_fingers:t2:

Wrap his left arm around his head?

Twice I think, once lead to a very dangerous counter. But I think Gomez struggles a bit more. Not important anyway, all of our guys have played well and it is just nitpicking.

Take Firmino off. Bring on a midfielder. Keita ?

Whineing and falling

Probably physically impossible to do that given the movement.

Do humans usually jump with their arms pinned too their sides? News to me…

Not a lot he can do, he needs short arms like Prickford.

He’s taking far, far too long to get rid of the ball, not passing it progressively and found himself well out of position for their equaliser.

‘Great’ is incredibly generous.

Several players are playing with too much pressure on their shoulders.
And Klopp is trying to prove us that he is loyal to Firmino. Not a bad thing, but Bobby is once again anonymous - doesn’t contribute neither offensively nor defensively.

Joe Gomez with his usual mistake, giving the referee no choice, b ut to point to the penalty spot after VAR review. The players must undrestand that with the new rules they have to be really careful in our penalty area.

Matip and Robbo - solid. Alisson - very good.
Trent awful choice of position and awareness for Jesus’s goal.

Gini - trying to play like Cruyff, but looks more like Biscan. Hendo is really good.

And Klopp must fix the balance in our squad, we are losing the midfield battle, there are too many holes in central areas and Jordan and Gini are not enough.

Salah in a strange mood - prefers to pass whgen he has better chances to shoot. Mane and Jota at least wotk hard defensively. We need Milner for Firmino and the front three - Mane-Jota-Salah.

Both Macca and Owen was right there… Only thing about handball decisions these days are that they are consistantly awful!!

Don’t like the formation and JK has put himself in the position of only being able to make a defensive substitution from here on.

That’s the rule though. Had it been the other way around he would have gotten it as well. As per the rules that was a fair pen. The rules for offside and handball are shite but that’s not the refs fault
